Master AI: the course, in seven minutes
Master AI takes you from "what is this thing?" to shipping a small AI app with an agent in it, in 22 lessons and five parts. Every lesson is one skill, shown for real, with the failure before the fix and the cost on screen.
The first ten lessons need no code and work on the free plan of any AI app: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. The last twelve build on the Claude API, with a key you make in lesson 11 and a spending limit you set before it.
Two tracks, one course

Both tracks watch every lesson. The builder track starts typing at lesson 11, and every later exercise has a no-code version too.
How every lesson works
Every lesson has the same shape: What is it, really?, then Show me., a walkthrough of the real app or the real code run on screen, then What should you do with it? Under each video, the lesson notes carry every line of code, every real output and every source, with a 15-minute exercise and a three-question self-check. The course code and the learner's guide are attached to the lessons as downloads.
What it isn't
A hype reel, a model leaderboard, a "10 AI tools you need" list, or a course that only works if you pay for one product.
What you will learn
- Explain what a model does with a message, and why it can be fluent and wrong at the same time
- Pick the right AI app for a job, including the free ones, and know what each does with your data
- Write prompts as briefs, use examples, reasoning, chains and templates, and prove a prompt on ten test cases
- Make any AI app read your documents and cite the page, and set up custom instructions, projects and memory on purpose
- Research with AI and open every source, and keep secrets and other people's data out of chats
- Find the right model on Hugging Face, read its card and licence, and run an open model on your own computer
- Call a model from code, give it tools, cache its knowledge and keep the bill in view
- Build an agent with a step cap, a budget and an approval step, and defend it against prompt injection
- Control effort, thinking and context so a long session stays sharp and inside its budget
- Ship an AI app without leaking a key or the budget, and prove it with a checklist
Requirements
- No coding experience for lessons 1 to 10
- One free account on Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot
- For lesson 10: a laptop with about 8 GB of RAM free
- For the builder track (lessons 11 to 22): Node.js 22 or newer, a code editor, and a card for the Claude Console. The demos cost cents, and you set a spending limit first
